Most Fire TV devices run Fire OS, which is based on Android and lets you install IPTV player apps with the steps below. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is different: it runs Amazon's new Vega OS, which has no option to install apps from unknown sources, so these steps will not work on it (AFTVnews report).
| Device | Operating system | Can you install an IPTV player? |
|---|---|---|
| Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max | Fire OS | Yes, with the steps on this page |
| Fire TV Cube and TVs with Fire TV built in | Fire OS | Yes, with the steps on this page |
| Fire TV Stick 4K Select | Vega OS | No sideloading. Use a Smart TV app, an Android TV / Google TV box or a phone instead |
To check your model, open Settings → My Fire TV → About; the device name is on the first line.
What you need before you start
- An active Elite Stream IPTV subscription or free trial. Your login details arrive by WhatsApp or email within minutes of ordering.
- Your Server URL, Username and Password from the activation message.
- An internet connection of at least 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. You can test it at speedtest.net.
- About 5 minutes and your Fire TV remote.
How to install Elite Stream IPTV on Fire Stick: 7 steps
Unlock Developer Options
On the Fire TV home screen open Settings → My Fire TV → About. Highlight the first line (your device name) and press the select button 7 times until a message confirms you are a developer. Go back one screen: Developer Options now appears in the My Fire TV menu.
Install the Downloader app
Go back to the home screen, open Find → Search, type Downloader and install the free Downloader app published by AFTVnews from the Amazon Appstore.
Allow Downloader to install apps
Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to ON. On older Fire OS versions the option is called Apps from Unknown Sources.
Install an IPTV player
First search the Amazon Appstore for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes, such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate, and install it from there if it is listed. If it is not, open Downloader, enter the official download address of the player and choose Install when the installer opens. Our support team can send you a working link on WhatsApp.
Log in with your account details
Open IPTV Smarters Pro and choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Enter any name for the profile, then the Username, Password and Server URL exactly as they appear in your activation message on WhatsApp or email, and select Add User.
Load your channels
The app downloads the live TV, movie and series lists. This usually takes 30 seconds to 1 minute the first time. Open Live TV and pick a channel to start watching.
Tidy up (optional)
Back in Downloader, delete the downloaded installer file to free storage, and turn Install unknown apps off again for Downloader if you do not plan to install anything else.
Can't see Developer Options? Amazon hides the menu by default on recent Fire OS updates, and it can disappear again after a factory reset or a major update. Repeat step 1 (press the device name 7 times) to bring it back (guide on XDA Developers).
Best settings for smooth 4K on a Fire Stick
- Use a wired connection if you can. An Ethernet adapter for Fire TV gives a steadier signal than Wi-Fi; if you stay on Wi-Fi, use the 5 GHz network and keep the router close.
- Pick the right decoder. In IPTV Smarters Pro open Settings → Player Selection and try the other built-in player if a channel stutters.
- Restart the Fire Stick once a week. Hold Select + Play/Pause for about 5 seconds, or go to Settings → My Fire TV → Restart.
- Keep free storage above 1 GB. Uninstall apps you do not use under Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications.
- Watching on several TVs? Each screen counts as one connection. A multi-connection plan covers 2 to 5 screens at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a special Elite Stream IPTV app for Fire Stick?
No. Elite Stream IPTV works with standard IPTV player apps such as IPTV Smarters Pro. You install the player once, then log in with the Server URL, username and password from your activation message.
Why can't I find Developer Options on my Fire Stick?
Amazon hides the menu by default. Open Settings, My Fire TV, About, highlight your device name and press select 7 times. Developer Options then appears in the My Fire TV menu.
Does Elite Stream IPTV work on the Fire TV Stick 4K Select?
Not with the steps in this guide. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select runs Vega OS, which does not allow apps from unknown sources. Use a Fire OS model, an Android TV or Google TV device, a Smart TV app or a phone instead.
